Testing ...

One, two, three.

(two seconds later ...)

Oh, shit!  It worked!!

Sure, I can publish a post on my blog but can't comment on it?? WTF??  Is it just my site or what??

Alright, I've had it.  I've got to get Disqus but I don't know how to do it stick it in there, if you know what I mean.  A little help, please?  (Assuming you are able to comment, of course.)

Hey, Blogger:  Blog this (points to Moooooog's crotch - seeing is that I don't have one of 'those').

;-)

Okay, since I can't comment on my own friggin' site, I guess the following will be the only way I can respond to comments for the time being:

Helen:  Whoa, you've changed (love your new pic)!  I see you could get through - nice to know that someone can.  Thanks for dropping in!

Ziva: ...dix, onze, douze.  Yep, that's as far as I'm gonna count because I'm gonna lose it in a moment.  Heh, heh.

  2. Oh, sure - everyone else can post a comment but I can't - I have to be "Anonymous"?. It sucks to be a ghost in your own house.

  3. That's very frustrating. I don't know if you will be able to comment on my comment now. And i like it when you comment on my comment.

  4. Try this ... when selecting profile, use Name and URL .. it works for me when all else fails!

  5. Linda: I hope this comment finds your comment in its normal commenting fashion - or, at the very least, my name should appear somewheres.

  6. Helen: I thank you for your suggestion - it worked! Alas, it appears that I must re-enter my name/URL at every comment. "Anonymous" is easier - I'll just type my name before the comment (for as long as THAT works - who knows, Blogger might just stick its other thumb up its prorverbial butt and my blog will be completely buggered).

Oh, sure 'Anonymous'... Mock me. G'head. Kick me when I'm down.

Hell, at this point I'll take any comment.

  8. I'm having the same trouble! Needning to insert e-mail address and PIN at every comment and then again and again on the same comment... even ones like this that are on my reading list! Takes so much time! Wordpress friends say it is Blogger that is operating an inferior system. Maybe they are right but it is a pain in the arse.

Stafford: It seems you can post on other Bloggers' sites as yourself (since you did it here and I can do it on other sites), maybe Blogger is just not allowing you to do it on your own site (like me). I, too, keep getting re-routed to the sign-in page when I want to post a comment response, but it (Blogger) does not want to accept or recognize me for some reason other than on my Dashboard.

It is, apparently, a "known issue" by Blogger.
Pffft! That, or Google is experiencing its own Judgement Day.

    Good Luck!

Reffie: I wish I could comment too! Well, I guess I can. Hopefully I won't have the same problems on other sites (and I've been so pissed off today that I barely got around to anyone else), but you will see me soon, I hope!

  13. un, deux, trois?

Blogger has been very moody these days!

  14. I'm having HUGE problems with Blogger right now. It won't me comment most of the time. Given that I often write a novel in my comments, it's pretty frustrating to have to start all over again. Piss on it!

    heh, heh.

I think I can count to twenty, en francais, just don't ask me to spell it properly.

As for Blogger, I have no idea. I'm just hoping it isn't experiencing menopause.

BonyMike: Evidently you are, in fact, able to comment on my blog. I'm just disappointed that you didn't write your usual 'novel' for which I could dis' you.

  17. It was a dark and stormy night; the rain fell in torrents — except at occasional intervals, when it was checked by a violent gust of wind which swept up the streets (for it is in London that our scene lies), rattling along the housetops, and fiercely agitating the scanty flame of the lamps that struggled against the darkness.

BonyMike: Hey, plagiarism is not allowed but I guess it may be shorter than the opening paragraph of your thesis.

    ;-)

Oh, and congrats on finishing that - your thesis, I mean! I hope you didn't try to rival War and Peace in its content. Heh, heh.

meleah: It isn't only you - many non-Blogger bloggers are having a hard time, too. (Heh, heh - I keep misspelling Blogger and typing in, "Blooger". Maybe we should call it "Blooger" from now on. That, or just "Bugger".)

  21. You had no trouble commenting on my Blogger blog using Disqus. Why would you have problems on your own. And, HEY, this isn't Disqus! This is Blogger comments. WTF?

dufus: Well, duh! If anyone had even BOTHERED to read my plea for assistance (yeah, it's in my post ... look up, look waaay up...it's in there) and providing me the destructions on how to stick it (Disqus, that is but thereby 'sticking it' to Blogger at the same time) to my blog, I would be able to post as myself and not in the third person. It's becoming very annoying. 00dozo: ya think?. Yeah.

    ;-)

  23. Oh okay I misunderstood. Just go to the Disqus site and follow the directions. It's fairly straight forward. Really.

dufus: Thanks for your input!. But I've been there, done that - I've already subscribed to Disqus, have opted for the "import comments" feature, but I'll be damned as to why I can't get it on my site. I thought it would be automatic unless I have to plug in an HTML command somewhere? It isn't really precise.

    Else, feck it. I'll swim.

  25. My followers pictures' buggered off today and I can't see any on other blog layouts - just the blank space where they should be! And my link I added to my Rally poem group is bringing up another poet instead! My scalp is burning with all the hair I'm pulling! Grrrrrrrrrrr!

Lena: Yeah! I just noticed that my "Followers" have also disappeared today(?) - which is (but wasn't earlier) now another problem. I dunno.

I can comment on other "Blogger" posts with my profile (name), but still not on my site. Maybe the PTB's are finally looking into the mess and screwed it up more than it is already. But then they're other people who cannot comment at all on Blogger.

I'll give it a few more days, then I'll be switching to another provider - probably Wordpress because this is just becoming too ridiculous.
