It's Gonna Be A Slow Weekend

Happy Thanksgiving to all of my American friends!  I figured I would post this today seeing that yesterday you were all too busy stuffing your face with turkey, five-bean casserole, pumpkin pie, mashed potatoes, and, well, stuffing, and probably didn't have time to visit many blogs - that, and I was just to lazy (or late) to post anything at all.

So, as a respite for your bloated, hungover and over footballed selves, I offer the following diversion:

I won!!!

Yes, the intrepid Sir Punsalot  has graciously awarded me his weekly prize for his Pause, Ponder and Pun feature.  I am proud and honoured.  So, when you become tired of washing dishes, eating leftovers, watching football, strangling arguing with the family and/or have nothing better to do this weekend, please visit this week's  PPP offering.  Even if you don't submit a caption, the comments are hilarious every week - so is his site.

Although my Thanksgiving was in October, I am, again, thankful this week!

  2. Wow, thanks for the nice shout-out. And congratulations! Your temp thingy says 81F. You can be thankful you live where you do. Back here it's minus 2C. We had freezing rain and snow last night. It sucks to be Canadian.

  3. Cheryl: I drop by your place once in awhile too! What's that growing out 'Yo Armpit'? Mistletoe??? Heh, heh. Well, 'tis the season.

  4. dufus: You're very welcome! Even without the humidity, 81F is still a bit warm for me (did I mention that I LIKE the cold?), although I didn't quite care for the wishy-washy-slushy days in Toronto - I got "slushied" when I was walking home and a bus drove through a puddle.

  6. Well, you go girl, with your bad self! I never understand what the puns are so I don't play. I'm just not a punner kinda gal! PS I hope you are well too. And frankly, 80 sounds kind of sexy to me right now!

  12. You called it right, except for the football. No one in my family cares about it.

  13. Alice: I don't care for football either. The sad thing is that I actually know the rules (I have no idea) and I watch two major games every year - they Grey Cup and Super Bowl - provided they aren't blow-outs.
